When creating Violet Surge, I explored the balance between movement and stillness within the landscape. Rich violet tones and warm autumn colors were allowed to flow and merge naturally through the watercolor process, while reflected shapes in the water softened the scene into something more atmospheric and expressive.
This piece reflects my fascination with how watercolor can capture both energy and calm at the same time — where reflections, color, and flowing pigment transform the landscape into a more emotional and dreamlike experience.
