Silent Christmas was inspired by the calm and reflective atmosphere that often settles in during the Christmas season. Transparent watercolor washes were layered gradually to create softness within the snowy landscape, allowing cool blues and muted shadows to flow naturally across the paper.
There’s a quiet sense of warmth within the stillness of the painting — the feeling of peaceful evenings, fresh snow, and lights glowing softly against the winter sky. Loose edges and softened forms allow the landscape to remain atmospheric and serene while capturing the quiet beauty of the season.
