Artist’s Thoughts
Inspired by my love of winter trees after fresh fallen snow, Hush of Silence is a winter landscape created using transparent watercolor washes and the natural movement of water to build softness, depth, and atmosphere across the paper. Bare trees fade gently into snowy surroundings while cool blues and muted greys create a sense of calm and stillness.
There’s a quiet reflective mood within the painting — the feeling of standing outdoors after fresh snowfall, where sound seems softened and time slows for a moment. Loose edges and flowing pigment allow the landscape to remain both expressive and serene.
